There are many different methods for cleaning your BBQ grill grates. These methods include burning the grill, then brushing, and soaking.
Method 1- Burning
The burning method for cleaning grill does not mean that setting the grill on fire and burn it. It means makes the grill a little warm so that if there any remaining food then you can remove easily. In two methods you can burn the grill.
1. In an aluminum foil, cover the whole grill and then on high heat turn the grill on and close the lid. Leave the grill on fire for about 15 minutes. Now with a grill brush clean your grill.
2. It is the oven cleaning method. In this method, you need to put the grill grate into the oven. And let the grill heat and then use your grill brush to clean your grill. But there is one problem with this method. Oven cleaning makes your grill grate discolor.
Method 2- Soaking
The grill should be cool to use this method. Otherwise, there is a risk to burn yourself. So let your grill cool fully. Follow these steps for cleaning your grill in the soaking method:
- In a large bucket or in the sink, filled with hot water and one-quarter cup of dishwashing soap and mix them well.
- Also, mix 1/4th cup of baking soda in this solution. Stir the solution well.
- Now in this mixture, put the grill grate. Let the grill soak in the water for an hour at least. Then use a steel wool pad to scrub the grill. This will also remove any debris on the grill. After scrubbing rinse off the grill with clean water
- To wipe out the grill using a clean cloth or paper towel. Make sure to completely dry the grill.

- Do this until you clean the entire grill properly.
To remove debris from the brush, over the garbage bag, shake the brush.
